Under the banner of BRAGGISH RITES, Marquis celebrates the achievements of New Haven's Black male youth and their fathers, spotlighting their excellence in various fields such as sports, arts, and sciences. This initiative features professional photoshoots by acclaimed New Haven photographer Jay Brantley, complemented by meticulously crafted portraits by Marquis himself. The public celebrations showcase exhibitions of these portraits and photographs alongside shared anecdotes, creating a platform for the honored sons and fathers to be recognized and celebrated. Through sponsorships, these sons and their fathers acquire their portraits, starting their journeys as art collectors.
